About Musica Bella - Scott Hiner, Artist
I have been making music for almost twenty years. I started playing guitar with my dad as a kid, learning all the James Taylor songs he knew, and sang in the church choir. While my formal training has been largely classical, I enjoy playing and singing many styles of music. I have played and sung music of all styles, from traditional wedding music like Wagner's Bridal March and Pachalbel's Canon in D, to operatic roles, to rock and contemporary tunes like Elton John's "Your Song" and Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours".
Teaching is a big part of my life and musical experience. I love to encourage students to reach their potential and deepen their love of music. Whether in the public school, private lessons, or ensembles, I work together in collaboration and exploration with students and musicians to create works of art, in whatever genre or setting we're working.
